On a 1985 with 454's, what sensors send signals to the alarm? SB engine has normal cooling temp.and oil pressure, but alarm is ringing about 10 seconds after start up. Trans fluid level is fine.

@BRIAN RANDALL Are you still dealing with this alarm issue?

With out having your engine serial number to confirm things, here ought to be your engine parts guide for you if needed, https://www.mercruiserparts.com/bam/subassembly/31592/1074/240

Your warning horn audio system has a timer that's suppose to sound off somewhere between 7 - 14 seconds once the ignition key has been turned to the on position but the engine had not been "started yet"...And of course the horn should sound if either the oil psi switch failed or detects an issue or the engine temp does the same.
The oil switch would be the first item to suspect.

Where is this alarm? I'd like to disable it. When I started my g en 4 454's this afternoon everything was fine. When I shut them down the alarm on the port engine would not shut off. I checked the start switch but the alarm stayed on. I finally turned the batteries off and the alarm quit. The starboard side has a new start switch. HELP!!!!
