EVA foam decking

You can search "EVA Foam Flooring" on Amazon and ebay. You'll find the off brand stuff easily.

For what it's worth - snap-in marine weave is FAR easier to clean than EVA foam. So if spider and bird crap cleaning matters to you, consider new snap in vs glue-down EVA. My two cents only.

Thanks for the advice I appreciate it

I have aqua marine deck on swim platform and the cockpit on a 390my.
We love it, only thing I don’t like is cleaning it in the cockpit area. Swim platform no problem.
Don’t really want to spray water in the boat on the cockpit . Wish I had went with something I could easily pull out and scrub on the dock.

Aqua-Marine here as well. Went with the gray on Black, and I have to say it shows dirt really bad. Good news is it's fairly easy to clean, but it does add an additional chore. YMMV with a different color.

Since I have never seen someone post a long term review of Seadek thought I would share.

This is after 7 years in the AZ sun, not covered so exposed year round to the elements. Overall happy and currently getting ready to replace it.

Me and my family recently moved and we live on the coast right now. We bought a small boat and we bought some foam deck for it as it's more comfortable and it makes the under material last for a longer period of time. Also, we were thinking to build a deck over the sea and thought about using millboard decking for it. What do you think of this? Is it a good idea or should we make it out of something else? Our terrace is made out of it so we thought it will look nicer if the deck is made out of the same material.

The seadeck and like products look great but my new to me boat had it and was aged. It took forever to get it off and I can not see having it done every 3 to 5 years. I like the idea of snap in or Velcro in-place something.

Hello,
I would like to find a foam carpet cover for a 2001 Sea Ray 280 Sundancer.
Can anyone tell me where I can find it?
Thank you

I am not a fan of carpet on the floor of the cockpit deck. So I purchased some EVA foam deck material from ebay and changed the whole look in a few hours. The material should stand up to sun, hose off easily with no staining and it's got some cushion to it as you walk on it. I think it looks a whole lot better than it did....

Before and after:
I'm looking at your table . How did you do that or did you have it installed?

After considering several options I just installed the Corinthian product that I ordered from member MQuiet (Matt) for a little more than half of that.
He's a vendor and I highly recommend him. ...

I used him a few years ago. The carpet still look reactively new, only some creases from the center hatch otherwise no fade, stains or burns. Great stuff and he was awesome to work with.

Hey y'all, I am the one early in this thread that does Corinthian carpet...not that it matters, but I think I can help with your templates. Cocktail Time nailed it. Go to Home Depot or Lowes and get 6mm clear plastic. When you cut it out, watch out that you are not stretching the plastic so that when you apply to the EVA you are getting a tight fit the first time. Also, I would use strapping tape and then apply basting tape (two sided) to hold down the plastic when templating. Hope this helps.

Hello there. 4 years later but I have been going thru the different forums looking for info to put down carpet on my boat. Why 6mil plastic for the template?

Plastic stretches if you pull it tight beyond it’s limits. Sail rite sells a reinforced plastic with a threaded grid impregnated into it. They call it scrim. You can also use tyvek from a home improvement store or lumber yard. Look around, some stores carry different brands in clear.

I did the same in the cockpit of my 350 Sundancer. Looks great, and then I have tan carpet runners over the top
