Regardless of brand, one thing I was told once, was to keep a pocket knife by the helm. Always in the same place and easily accessible. The idea was to be able to cut a line (in particular anchor) if an emergency arose and there wasn't time to raise the anchor. This of course does not apply as critically if you have all chain for your anchor rode. Just passing the tip along...
