I have a (new) Norcold over/under freezer/fridge, model looks to be DE-0061/EV-0061. The freezer has accumulated (excessive) frost. A penguin could build a habitat in there. Pic to come when I get back to the boat this weekend, but any ideas how to limit this buildup?

Frost is typically caused because of air intrusion. Check your seal, I'll almost bet it's not sealing properly.

Could be time to look at a new fridge. My old Norcold used to do the same and just generally seemed unreliable with holding temp. I've upgraded to the Vitrifrigo and am really happy with it. Fairly simple upgrade.

Paul - that is a great upgrade - thank you for posting. Was it a direct replacement or did you have to modify the cabinetry?

Yeah, great looking fridge. Love the stainless look. Can the doors be reversed?

Nice Vitrifrigo install.

This will make frost too but, a good door seal is necessary to keep humidity out and frost build up to a min.

Yes, (I have the same one in black)
Defender seems to have best price if you wait for a sale.
