If that isn't a classic illustration of Redneck Engineering I don't know what is....

To me, the money I spent was well worth it. I will never have another boat without an extended platform.

They need a couple cannons hanging from it.

Very sweet! Money well spent! Mine already had the extended platform. That really makes it a different boat then having that restricted flimsy thing that came on it.

I agree. Think of the possibilities.... That's the cool thing about wood. No fibergalss work needed. Just a drill and some lag bolts and you add just about anything to that arch.

Let's see, in addition to the aforementioned cannon

-Speakers
-rubber tube for launching water balloons
-Dance pole from the top to the deck
-brackets for a couple of them styrofoam ice chests
-rope lights
-confederate flag (too political?)

Come on guys give me a hand here. Let's see some creativity

Very soon plug almost complete. The boat thats getting the first one is also having some extensive repair work done.
It was tied up next to a boat that burned & it got some serious heat damage so the boat and platform are being worked at the same time.

For some reason I don't think Rocky will be posting pics of his project. I too, would like to see it. I hope it is a work of art. I never mind being put in my place.

NorCal - you sure are being nice and polite here!

I won't be - I hope he posts the pictures and I hope that it looks every bit as shitty as I originally thought it would!! What fun is it if he does a good job? I want to see a splitner fest bolted to the back of a boat!! Something like that wakeboard tower would suffice:smt043

You're right....I am being nice. But I was trying to get him to post pics of his raggety-ass platform

I installed a swimplatform from swimplatforms.com 3 seasons ago. I think it was well worth it. This season I put a mount under the swim ladder door the receives a mount kit for a grill. I am now able to cookout now while on the hook. The grill cost $89 at West marine and I got the mount kit on clearence last fall for $25.00. Also, There was barely enough room on the stock platform to enter the transom door. Makes it easier coming back from the dock party :)

I did the same thing with mine on the BBQ. I also have a couple of different tables that fit the mount as well. Great place for the blender and snacks at a raft up.
