In a prior life, I was in the auto refinishing world (body shop) and would use a non-wax 3M Hand Glaze finish that would bring an incredible luster to paint. The depth is amazing! The problem is that you dont have any protection from the elements that a quality wax provides.

I have to question why they are promoting this product as a "take you chalky boat, and make it shine again" type product. It is a short term solution at best, and will not last.

The only reliable long term fix to chalky gel is refinishing, or real hard labor intensive work. Wet sanding, compounding, polishing, and finally wax. Anybody worth their salt, that has been through this would agree.

You are dealing with snake oil

Thank you. That's pretty much the answer I was expecting. There was a part of me hoping that the back breaking yearly chore of buffing and waxing could be somehow made much easier. :)

There is.... paint it with Imron, Awlgrip, or Awlcraft.

Yacht Brite has been making a product for many, many years called Serious Shine. It's meant for a light cleaning (w/o wax removal) and 'spiff up' of gelcoat, along with cleaning windows and vinyl. I'm very pleased with how it works. Seems like F11 is similar?

Agree with you statement. 303 also makes a boat “detail” spray. In the car world there are hundreds of these same products.
