Very sad.....
If I'm reading correctly the boat was going too fast when it struck the bridge. One of the first things I've learned when I had entered the boating world is to go at idle speed under any bridge. I always follow this rule.

Me too especially seeing as I lived and learned to pilot a boat 1 block from this small, low bridge.

If these guys were flying under this bridge (based on what I see in the link), there must be DWI involved, but it's only my asumption.

I don't see much damage to the hull. I wonder if he was decapitated?
