Had a 1986 S 24 Sorrento in the 90’s and always regretted selling it. After a few other boats I started searching for another one. There are not many out there but last July I found a fairly mint 1988 in NY state. Original owner, stored indoors

on a rack since new. Making some changes and updating some electronics. Appreciate the info on the forum.

Congrats! Is it the boat in the pic you posted? It kind of looks like a jet drive sticking out the back?

Yes, apparently they had the oyster color option on the lower, much prefer black but that’s what it is.

Original owner picked the Oyster color option.
I actually like it much better. Any issue, (Concern) what so ever can be seen, identified (Cause) almost immediately, and the plans (correction) to rectify/remediate the situation can commence at once.

Ya know,... the 3 C's

Didn't know they came in white. Looks good. In the pic it kind of looked like it was tapering down to a nozzel like on the the jacuzzi pumps. Water distortion I guess. Welcome aboard!

That’s a good point.

Nice boat, there doesn’t seem to be many around. I grew up in NJ, used to do lights for a band called Holme, we played in Edison at Art Stocks bar, can’t recall the exact name, it was the 70s so memory’s fuzzy. Maybe you can help me, best approach for changing oil filter? Other than being 2ft tall with a 3ft reach. The rear bench seat support does move some so legs can go under backrest but still real tight, wondering if floor brace needs to be removed. PO had it done at the marina and brace doesn’t look like it’s ever been out. Any help appreciated.

Take out metal floor support, only 4 screws. You will do the same god forbid you ever have to swap out a starter. Limber up, take a deep breath and go in. It SUUUCCKKKSSS

Fyi, i live in edison. Art stocks was BIRCH HILL when i was growing up. Saw twisted sister and metalica there in the 80's

Appreciate the offer and sure Ill take you up on it at some point. Can't see a way to send a private message though. Maybe I need more posts, not sure.

Agreed, i have learned so much from trolling this site. More than any book could ever teach ya. Club sea ray members will go out of their way to help. Thats what boat people do
