Fresh water pump

is the only access to the fresh water pump through the small access panel below the electrical panel or is there a way to remove the stairs?

Hi, I have a 340 da, Sundancer. The only access I have found is through that insanely small panel under the electrical panel. Stairs are a fiberglass one piece unit. Haven't figured out how to remove it for access yet.

My 1986 Weekender steps were carpeted. If you pulled on them straight up, they would slide up and out. There was a bilge pump under the step that was reached this way.
