Has anyone been to the Boat show in October in Ft Lauderdale? The wife and I decided we needed a few days off and booked our tickets the other day. Hope to see some good vendors for boating accessories. Might just get me back into the boating mood after all my engine troubles this season

Huge show. Wear comfortable shoes because there is a lot of walking.
Great vendors and all sorts of electronics.

Also, take the time to check out some of the boats. Great collection of different manufacturers.
 
I've been to it three times in the last 5 Years.....I would always go back if I was there! I just wish I had a bigger bank account to bring with me! Enjoy! As others have said comfy shoes are a must, the show is usually spread over 3-4 different areas (Bahia Mar, Convention center, and I can't remeber the other marinas)
 
Bahia Mar, Hilton Marina, Sails Marina, & Convention Center. Used to be at Pier 66 as well but I don't see them listed this year. We have been to the show for the last 6-7 years, never paid for a ticket yet. Always find a salesman for some company willing to give me tickets for 2-3 days of the show. It really is a fun time. We typically go down with 3-4 couples and spend the entire weekend.
 
Not really, however....it will be fun to look around and maybe drop a little money on a few things and then get some ideas for this winters projects.

Anybody else going to the show?

Wife and I are heading down for a few days this year. Really looking forward to it. We did Miami in February, and hear this is even bigger!
 
It is a blast!! Pretty much every mfg. has every boat they make there. Try to stay close to the show to avoid parking or a car rental. Lots of places to eat and drink and hopefully the weather is good. My wife and I have been going for years.
 
Unfortunately, with the latest little Heath scare I think I am going to have to put this years trip to Lauderdale in the hopper (Toilet). The wife doesn't want me traveling. As disappointing as it is I am sure there has to be another great show in the next few months somewhere or as the wife says "there's always next year or we can go on a cruise"

The Miami show is February 14-18.

Well, Miami it will be. Talked to the wife tonight and we are good to go to Miami in February. I just don't think that I have it in me right now to make Lauderdale
