This unit is not available until mid January 2012. I have been reading what information is available on it since about october 2011. This video from the manufacturer is boring but fairly good at covering the units available from Fusion. I plan on installing one this spring and can then give a more first hand review.

I have the 600 on my boat with 2 remotes right now. Love the unit and remotes. Charges your iPhone or iPod while in use as well. This looks like and even better version and the color screen is slick, although since my deck is below, I hardly ever look at it. The remotes are where I get 99% of the use of the stereo.

I have heard other favorable comments on the 600 and planned to get it when I found out the 700 was coming so I decided to wait. The color screen is nice but the big thing I think will be the ability to network via NMEA2000. Word is the SImrad line of chartplotters will allow control of the headunit from their chartplotters. Theoretically it should be possible with any chartplotter if the company is willing to incorporate Fusions control software. The network capability will not be a big deal for me on my small boat (I do not even have a chartplotter yet) but I think it will be for larger boats. I have heard some naysayers though concerned about integration of audio systems with "safety systems".

I just purchased the MS-AV700, the NRX-200 remote, and the MS-DKIUSP ipod dock from Jim at BOE. When they arrive and get installed I can post a review if anyone is interested.

Would love an update when you get it installed.

Hey Ranger, did you ever get your head unit installed? how do you like it. I am really leaning towards fusion...

The unit is back ordered. Jim says the planned ship date is 3/19. I do not know if that is for it to leave fusion to BOE or to leave BOE to me. Either way it will probably be april before I get it in. It should not take long once I receive it. All my wires are run. I will just need to make holes to mount the radio and put on the molex connectors and I should be ready to go.

Thanks for the info. I am really leaning towards the same head unit. I really like the Fusion link option and some of the others. I like the AV over the IP so you can still play cd's. But I guess if I would just break down and buy and iPod it wouldn't matter.lol

I received mine Friday.... absolutely love the thing..... worth every penny.

I installed my radio today and it works great but the remote will not work as intended. i can connect the remote directly to the radio and the remote works. i can connect the remote to the radio via the cable included with the remote OR with the extension cable i bought and it works; but when i connect both the included cable and the extension cable together the remote will not power on. i can only assume the length of cable is causing too much voltage drop. i have emailed fusion today to see if they have any bright ideas.

I have found the source of the problem. One of the male connectors on the cable extention has a fault in it. So far Fusion's technical support has been easy and worthwhile to deal with.

I am new to this forum and just purchased an 310 Sundancer. I am looking to purchase the Fusion MS AV700 with some JL Audio speakers and wanted to see what you thought of the head unit?
