I just recommissioned the boat for Spring and am having an issue with the water coming out of the galley faucet. When I turn the water pump on there is a small steady stream of water coming out the faucet, but will not turn on or off, nor will the stream increase if I turn the knob. The bathroom, cockpit and swim platform faucets all work just fine. I thought I had an issue with the ceramic cartridge for the hot water side, but I replaced that and it did not change anything. Was hoping there might be an easy solution before I start digging into everything. Thanks

All clear - think something must be wrong in the guts of the faucet
Cleaning my faucet screen is a Spring commissioning task. The stuff comes from the hot water heater. I strongly suspect some "stuff" has found it's way into the guts of faucet workings.

Does anyone know if there is a zinc anode in the hot water heater? If so, has anyone replaced it?

Trying to figure out how to get inside of it now.... it’s a Grohe sink faucet.

By the sounds of it the faucet turns on in that it's already on, it just doesn't shut off. Right? My guess is there was a little water left in the faucet and it froze breaking the valve. Or there is possibly something stuck in there not allowing the valve to close.

Correct but no pressure either way. I’d say you’re right. On my way to the plumbing store now with faucet in hand

I’m new to cruisers with water systems. The sink in the head and the water in the toilet itself work. But the galley faucet does not work at all. No water comes out when we turn the knobs in either direction. Is there a valve that’s turned off somewhere? A different switch maybe? What am I missing?

Remove and check/clean the aerator/screen on the faucet.

The aerator is already off. The faucet makes no sound of air or water moving in the pipes. It just does nothing. Stumped.

I have a 97 300. Sorry. :)

And you have looked under the sink to be sure the lines are hooked to the fixture? Dont mean sound stupid but some people overlook the simple things. If they are, remove the line to the cold side and turn on the pump, switch might be on dash. If its pumping out the line then the fixture is blocked. If nothing comes out. Then find trace line back to pump. Its not that complex really but i seen POs do weird stuff with lines and wiring.

I say this because you cant believe the weird sht POs did with wiring and water on my 91. Water, had to replace both bath and galley and transom washdown and city incoming fixtures to get proper water flow. Seems the PO NEVER spent a night in the boat in 30 years. Faucets were froze up. Had to replace everything related to water system. Keep us posted. Dig deep. My boat has 500 hours on it when bought last summer. I thought, oh goody, wrong, half the systems were froze up.

It looks like it’s hooked up. This is what I found under there.
