So yesterday my display on my Garmin 1040xs showed "Weather Sensor is Disconnected',, so no weather data and now today I went to use the system and my weather tab is completely missing... any idea where to start to dx this issue? Software update maybe?

Ps.,,, this is on my 2014 Sea Fox in Cape Coral so I really kinda rely on my weather overlay

A software update wouldn't hurt if you are behind on that but I would start with the weather receiver. If the MFD can't see the receiver for any reason then it won't show the appropriate menus which would explain your symptoms.
What weather unit do you have and how is it connected to the MFD? I would guess NMEA 2000 based on the age of your MFD but some newer units are ethernet. I would find the weather receiver and check for loose wires and to see if it's getting power. Assuming it's NMEA 2000 then find the NMEA T-connector and make sure that hasn't backed off. You should be able to see all the active NMEA 2000 (and ethernet) devices on the MFD, likely in a "Communications" menu. Hope this helps.
