Gas tax!

Having just skimmed the article, I have to say we are closer than you are. Here in Oregon, gas is at $3.78 for regular unleaded. Diesel is a little higher. Non Ethanol is at $4.80 inland. Out at the docks on the coast, I was told it's $5.85. We haven't seen fuel under $3 since the lock down started. And our gooberment here is talking now about raising the tax, again, and doing away with diesel and propane. Hell the diesel here is 15% trash and vehicles run extremely poor on the stuff. Even the gasoline is bad. There is so much garbage in the fuel that our Suburban went from 19-21mpg, outside of Oregon to just over 8mpg. I just read that we are at $1.20 a gallon tax and they want to go to $2 a gallon.

As the guy on the hearing aide commercial says, "It's just ridiculous".

Thanks to Biden $6-7 will be the norm soon

I just filled up this a.m. $58 at $3.159. Shoulda done it 2 days ago when it was $3.089.

Sleepy Joe can kiss my behind. We went from being almost energy independent to sucking Putin's you know what.

We also went from have the southern border under control to being overrun by people from who knows where. Thanks Sleepy Joe.

I don’t think so. Thank your fellow Americans who continue to vote against their own interests and then complain about the high costs of everything, how we are not doing enough to help others and how the rich don’t pay their fair share. It is easy to be a liberal as long as it does not affect people personally. Even when it does affect them personally, some folks are just too dense to make the connection between who they vote for and poor economic outcomes. Meanwhile the rich are pretty much unaffected by the price of gas because it represents a small expense in their overall living expenses. And, as taxes increase, they invest in tax exempt bonds and other tax efficient instruments to legally avoid paying higher taxes to the extent possible.

And $15 an hour minimum wage. But skilled labor wages won't go up.
I just read a Gretchen update that Michigan had a $3 Billion deficit before China virus...they now have a $3.5 Billion surplus including $2B of China virus Relief in just one short year... Part of her plan is to give it to small business so they can pay the gap so workers get $15/hour.... so here is the tax payer footing the $15 narrative....the plan all along

^^^^^ Not this guy. I voted for Sarah Palin as a write in. If we can't have someone smart we might as well have someone better looking. ;)

Vote Libertarian so we all can be free from the crazy animal parties of bottomless checkbooks, useless government spending, and ridiculous corrupt big government manipulating energy prices.

People are all for fighting climate change until it hits the pocket book....so far governments solution is just a carbon tax and wealth transfer to “developing countries”...a dubious goal put forward by the UN.
Rather than providing tax incentives for industries to clean up the environment, they just take money out of people’s pocket.
In Canada the current government claims the tax, “putting a price on pollution” is “revenue neutral” as a nominal credit is given on your federal tax return. But once the tax ramps up, the trickledown cost on the economy will choke us as the costs of food, heating, transportation reflect the tax.
They lost me when they applied the tax to home heating fuels...something of a necessity with a climate like Canada’s.

The climate has been changing for billions of years. My house used to be covered by ice. Why is it necessary to “fight” climate change? It’s all about power and control.

Welcome to what it is like in Canada. Canada has a carbon tax. It is applied at point of sale. It is set to go up by a factor of 5 by 2030. This will raise a 1,000 cubic feet of natural gas by $6 it will add 40 cents to a liter of gas = $1.60 a gallon. If you vote green, the green in your wallet will vanish.

Break the trend in 2022. Bury it in 2024.
Otherwise, be the Bahamas. 8/gal was a daily fact. And that, was the 90's.

NO, she's only proposing "helping" business owners for 3 months, then its on our own dime.

Just greasing us up for "universal basic income".

Proper term is "BOHICA": Bend Over Here It Comes Again.

This group making less than 15.00 an hour scares me, they now represent 42% of voters. It is also the fastest growing group. This group primarily votes dems and the last election saw Republicans in this group voting for the free handouts. I've yet to see anyone in the GOP suggest a solution to stopping this surge. Blaming Joe for the price of gas won't change how that group votes they don't own boats or care.
