Gauge lighting Searay 320 Sundancer (2003)

I understand I cannot replace burned out bulbs in my dashboard gauges. Such a brilliant engineering decision on Searay's part. So I have to buy new gauges at huge cost. OR.... what about LED lighting around the dashboard cluster? Will that work and has anyone done it and can they explain how it's done? THANK YOU!

Not positive, but there are bulbs that can be replaced

Someone on the facebook group just did it. They posted these links

and then just get the LED's to fit the base. It looked awesome with blue

I don't believe the smartcraft guages have removable bulbs. I think the standard analog guages do.

Wouldn't red be better if you ever want to boat at night? Red doesn't kill your night time vision, right? Regardless, you probably want a dimmer control on these...

Looks like a great idea. My gauges definitely do not have replaceable bulbs... but I'm not on the FB group so I'm wondering if the guy drilled holes in the panel and placed the bulbs around the gauges or did he drill right into each instrument?

Smartcraft guages do not have any user replaceable bulbs. You might want to try contacting www.gaugesaver.com they may be able to help. I have heard they do great things with displays and cracked lenses so repairing a light my be an option.
