Has anyone repaired their gauges at all please and if so where? Our 340 gauges have become a bit hard to read. Just wondered if these types of repairs are a success or not, or should we just bite the bullet and spring for new. TIA.

I got new ones but decided to go digital. My boat is a little older then yours which made it a bit easier i think to do

If your happy with what you have, new gauges make a nice upgrade and not too expensive. If you go with the exact same ones from flounder pounder, it’s just pull the old and install the new. If you try to mix and match vendors, your gauges may or may not read correctly unless you match/replace the sender unit, due to electical differences in the senders/gauges.

I elected to digitize mine and display via a NEMA2000 network, but went this route because I wanted to add gauges for transmission temperature/pressure and EGT and boost. There just isn't enough panel space to put all those gauges in easily.

I have heard good things about these guys: https://gaugesaver.com/ - just word of mouth as I personally have not used them (yet).

Thanks guy's! Will look at FP for new and also gaugesaver.com. Haven't had time to be on here for awhile, but just knew you guys would have the answer. Thanks again!!!

Thanks Mitch, trying to semi-retire so have more time to use the boat soon too. We built a new house and what with working too and a builder that could have been better, (ended up managing most of it personally), never had any free time for anything. Won't be doing that anymore! Thanks again!

You have the quad gauges?
My 300 is a bit older and I tried to repair a few that the needles feel off, plastic to brittle to fix.
So I took the opportunity to completely redesign the console, new plexiglass panels with 3M wrap, led back light, led status board.
Picked up all the gauges new surplus online at Great Lakes Skipper, Tach on ebay, had one from Sea Ray.

I just did DIY replacement lenses from GaugeSaver.com for my four 5" gauges. (DIY kits are found on eBay) The old lenses were cracked and yellowing, hard to read, and just looked bad. It took me about an hour to do all four, but was absolutely worth it. They look like new again, huge difference!

New: (Helm upgrade in progress)

Looks really good!

+1 for gaugesaver.com . What a great service. Eric and Tammy couldn’t be more professional . Turn around time was really fast and my gauges are better than new. One had LCD that was turning black in the center, the other faded out after about a minute. Going to send the other 3 in for lens replacement. Highly recommend!
