Glomex Isssues

Forgot to post a follow up on my warranty claim with IMTRA. They shipped replacement antennas for the TV and radio without delay. They arrived quickly and I'm looking forward to installing them this spring. I will definitely be adding some additional coax to ease maintenance in the future. Terry is great to work with along with IMTRA.

What does your radio antenna look like? Does it show outside the arch or inside only? I'm just asking because I reconnected the antenna wire when we found it but never looked to see what it was connected to. There's definitely nothing outside my arch for radio. Just the glomex, RADAR, and light bar.

James, the only thing I have learned on that for our model is my FM signal gets clearer and stronger (its still pretty good in general) when I grab the bimini frame attached to the radar arch. Seems like the FM antenna is connect to that frame bolt to have the frame act as the antenna (just a guess). My AM signal is total crap - unusable.

Same for me - I just replaced the Glomex on One Sweet Day and Imtra's turnaround was less than a week. I need to do Reward's as well before I sell her...

Thought I would give this tread an update.
I called Terry at IMTRA and told him my antenna looked awful, he was a little reluctant to replace it at first but when I told him about Club SeaRay he said "No Problem, send it in and we will get you a new one."

Did the exact same thing end of last summer. Can't say the new one works any better but it sure looks nice.

Embarassed to say that I wax my new one along with the radar dome... A little cleaner wax on them keeps them nice and shiny as well as free of black streaks. *Wax does not improve the signal though* I think I have waxing sickness!
