Congrats. I'm pretty familiar with the 52 as there's one on my dock that the "boat owner" (not a boater) regularly asks us to take him out on (he can't operate his own boat). We happily oblige. Great boat. Enjoy!

I am wore out.....
We did the surveys, haul, and sea trials on the 52 yesterday; a day early. Engine and gears are tight and in spec. RPM's vs load vs speed exceeded expectations however the boat was lightly loaded. Scan is being evaluated but did show one "overheat" which based upon what the surveyor saw should present no significant issues. Some soot traces on the exhaust flanges which was expected. Cutlass are extensively worn and a very slight running vibration which may be due to the cutlass. Hull very clean, no moisture or blisters. There is the normal list of issues but no "deal breakers". Need results back on fluids. So, should have the survey reports Friday and we will then sort through the data and work with the owner on the more significant issues. BTW has anyone been in the engine room of one of these larger boats running on the "pins"? It's a bit humbling....

I can only imagine what it must be like down there. Our 350's with the hatch open at 3500RPM are violent sounding enough.

Update - My 400DA was surveyed, hauled, and sea trial Thursday. No issues at all found pending results from the oil analysis. Met the new "potential" owners; they seem to be super people and very excited. The 52DB closing documents are signed so we should wrap up Monday. This next week I'm having them pull the 52 and doing some needed maintenance, detailing, polishing, and waxing the boat. Next Saturday bring her home.
New name "Kismet" is official. Of course we will have to appease the gods of the seas and purge its old name from the Ledger of the Deep, and from Poseidon's memory.

Congrats on a beautiful boat I’m a little bias though. 3 seasons and we’re doing well on ours, we did just have her painted as the gel coat wasn’t holding up. I didn’t see what year your boat is? Ps. We sold our 36 sedan bridge in 24 hours.. sorry Dale. Best of luck with the new Yacht,,,,

2006, it has the davit crane rather than the hydraulic swim platform which is what I wanted.
Closed on the 52DB - it's mine. Proud owner of four boats now for about another week then the 400DA closes and goes home with her new owner. The 52DB is out of the water getting detailed then Saturday we are going down and bring her home up the Florida East coast. I feel like a long-tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs......
