Just getting settled in for a few days on the hook.

Water’s maybe 69 at best, but it felt good and will tomorrow.

It’s supposed to be near 100.

Yeah man, a/c never turned off for us during the day today. We’re up on irondequoit bay. Some serious weather coming through these next couple days

Born in Gloversville NY-1947-Moved to California when I was 12-Mom and Dad took us all over the 11 Finger Lakes during the summer months -great memories-the fire flies-the campfires-the small amusement parks-you guys be safe and have a great weekend and summer-Happy 4th! Thanks for posting the pictures!

Down here in NC air temp today of 92. The water temp is 90. I don't think I could go into 69 degree water!

I don't think I could go into 69 degree water!

My canal ride out was scorching hot so jumping in to set a stern hook in the shallows was not a choice, but I was as cool as a cuke when I got out.

There’s a deceptively cool south wind blowing through the boat this morning but it’s gonna be a hot one.

The ski boats and bikinis should be along in a few hours.

Don’t interpret the 92 temp to mean it’s comfortable. The dew point is 75. I’m sweating in the shade under the bimini!

Well it’s officially as hot as hell.

I just went in for a dip for a much needed cool down and the water is so damn cold that it hurt. I really can’t stay in for more than a few minutes, but dozens of others seem immune.

Beats sitting in the AC all day though.

Have you ever taken your boat over to Cayuga lake?

We occasionally go through the canal to Cayuga and I’ve transported boats purchased there back to Seneca.

The only way I can bring my boat anywhere is under its own power though.

You boat on Cayuga?

I did a couple of years ago. I am in the market for a new boat now. How is the canal system to navigate? Have you ever taken it to Lake Ontario?

The canal system is slow to navigate. You’ll meet lots of good people when you stop here and there too.

Haven’t taken this boat to Ontario yet. These days I’m content to run and drift where I live.

Water is water and gas doesn’t grow on trees.
