HELP
I manufacture and sell stainless steel replacement plugs for the plastic Mercruiser ones. Send me an email and I'll send you pics and pricing if you're interested. Warren at wellswa@yahoo.com

If the lower blue drain plugs are over tightened in the plastic water distribution housing, the housing will crack. You'll have to replace the housing. Don't overtighten! It is difficult to see the crack, but once it's there, you will never get a complete seal. Not inexpensive either, about $150-170. For a plastic part.

The least you could do since you're selling stuff here is sponsor the site.

I'm not a chemist so I honestly have no idea, but is there concern with stainless to cast iron for corrosion? I've heard people using brass but never stainless. Might be a non issue..

Probably should point out this is all marine grade BRONZE. NOT HOME DEPOT BRASS.

Using regular brass below the waterline is a sinking hazard, especially in salt water. There are marine grade alloys of brass, but it can be hard to tell whats what.
