My starboard transmission is knocking at an idle.
Sounds like its coming from bell housing but upon further investigation
it sounds like it's coming from the pump.
If I raise the idle 200 rpm it goes away.
New spark plugs/wires/cap and rotor this season.
Motor runs fine and doesn't miss thru whole RPM range.
First thought was a damper plate but listening with long pry bar it sounds like the pump.
Any help appreciated.
Transmission is a Hurth 630V

I have heard that this can be caused by an engine out of tune and not running as smoothly as it should. I seem to recall someone on the forum simply replacing plugs and wires and it fixed the 'transmission' problem.

Just a thought.

I've seen the same. Do a full tune-up - plugs, wires, cap and rotor and see if it goes away. That is going to be your cheapest troubleshooting step.
