I've been trying to get some work done on the 3126 CATs since early April. 2 local mobile diesel mechanics have ghosted me.

Any recommendations for someone who will communicate and show up? If they are good that is a bonus at this point.

Thanks

Try the Freightliner dealer. I looked at a mid sized truck that has the 3126 in it. They might have a line on a mobile guy or they might be able to look at it.

Just a thought.

Other then the ones I referenced, the only other is Shore Power. There right there by Piney Narrows. But they are going to be more expensive compared to the other two. Keep in mind everyone is weeks out at this point and it is doubtful if they can get to you before Memorial Day weekend.

Yeah, they are the ones who did the pre-sale engine surveys and want $18k for the 1000 hour service. They were booking 6+ weeks out last time I talked to them in mid April. I got a name "Ryan" from the broker today, called, voicemail said "Ryans Diesel". I left him a message.

Never heard of him. Just a thought, if someone is able to get to you in a week or so, when everyone else is slammed right now, you may not want them to work on your boat.

IMO, Robert is worth the wait. That said I have not seen him around the marina lately, which is strange unto itself.

Agreed, which is why I jokingly said "If they are good that is a bonus at this point"

Can always give Chris a shot. He was fantastic when I needed him. At the very least give him a call and feel him out.

He lives in Chesapeake City and does travel locally.
