I just bought this boat and am excited, Is there any pro's and cons to this boat that I should know about or things to check before i splash it?

Did you get survey or sea trial before purchase? The list of things to check is endless. Depends on the current condition of the boat. Welcome aboard!!!

Hmmmm! Maryland registration, but, you are in western Canada. And, the boat looks like maybe it was a distress sale. Waz up?
 
It pretty much was, in the marine survey the engines were rebuilt in 05 and in 07, we live up in canada and have to trailer it home, ive bought shift cables and rebuild kits for both alpha ones, not to concernd about the mechanical, but im concernd about the water system, the head and electrical.
Has anyone played with these items.

Probably! If the hot water heater has not been replaced it is probably a rusted piece of junk. You will know it if the holding tank is leaking - YuK!
But, that boat looks like it was left out in the weather. I would be concerned about dry rot of all of the upholstered pieces. They already look pretty much doomed from mildew.

And, yes we use the jenny and a/c. I doubt that it is something needed on the west coast of Canada. Does that boat have a jenny? (It looks like there is a jenny exhaust outlet on the port side - Can't really tell from the photo)

What is a 2 4bt's?

Ill check the tank, any ideas where to get another, even an aftermarket.
This boat has been left out in the weather and probably has some dry rot.
Has there been any problems with the hulls on these boats??

Welcome aboard. I would thoroughly inspect the engines. Get a leak down and compression test. The missing thermostat housing raises a red flag for me that you may have potential freeze damage since it's obvious there is no or little coolant.

Welcom aboard. It looks like you have lots of work a head of you. Water/heater systems - yes check them. Engines/outdrives check them twice.

Did YOU really have this boat surveyed ??. What did he say about it .

Yes I have had a survey done on it by the boat yd where it sits, its been winterized and not moved from its location for 2 years, engines were redone in 05 and the other in 07, one outdrive has had work done to it. The boat was aso described as dirty and in need of extensive cleaning. The upholstry needs to been redone, its a project for sure but im new to boating and would just like some honest direction in where to go and start. In canada we own a sandblasting and industrial painting business and an autobody shop, so restoration is nothing new to me but where to start or what to look for in a boat is.
