SIRENS' SONG

1996 Sea Ray 450 Sundancer

After 24 great years with her, the time has come for us to make a change. Therefore, we are going to offer a member of our family, our beloved 450DA, for sale. So there isn't any second guessing, we are physically and financially healthy, and there is nothing wrong with the boat. Both our children are happy, healthy and secure in careers they enjoy. Our grandchildren are now in college and it seems really hard for the next 2 generations to get away to make the 500 mile trek to the boat. We just cannot justify the cost of maintaining a 50' boat, now mostly used as a day boat, to the level that I am comfortable with. Therefore, we are going to close this chapter and open a new one with a different type of boat.......yet to be determined.......(but it will not be a pontoon boat!) If anyone has any questions on anything about the 450DA you can reach me via CSR PM system or email at: f_webster@att.net Anyone who has an interest owning probably the nicest 45 on the market, now is the time. We are offering her to CSR members first, but will eventually list her with a broker.

Wow didn’t see this coming, best of luck on the sale and your next venture she sure is a beaut so one will get a Jem for sure.

We were in the area not long ago, I saw this boat. Was on this boat.

It is everything it appears to be. A pristine boat that has been maintained at a higher standard than 99% of the boats out there.

It really is everything that the pictures show and more. Just guessing, the boat didn't need to be cleaned or have any prep before the pictures. It stays in this condition all the time.

Thanks, Mark. You are close to right. We did wash her and chamois off the transom to avoid taking pictures of water drops.

It really is amazing what keeping the oxidation off gelcoat does to the appearance and life span of an older boat exposed to the Florida sun 24/7/365. Just looking at the photos we took you wouldn't believe that our boat had never spent a single day out of Florida.

No, more than that.....more like 2 years ago. We are all out of the water when a named storm hits within about 75 miles of the marina......mostly because the owners don't have insurance on things built over the water. We were gone when that storm hit and the first thing we saw when we got back was the marina tring to find places to tie up our boats while they pulled the roof and broken pilings out of our slips.

Damn beautiful boat for sure. I’d be all over it like a hobo on a ham sandwich if we didn’t just buy this 500 DA a few month back. GLWS!

I know you mentioned you were looking to sell your 450 but seeing you post her for sale is still a shock.

Good luck with the sale. I’m certain she won’t last long.

Good Luck Frank!

Frank is selling the 450......my world just changed. Somebody gonna get a real good boat.

I have no comment other than to say that if anyone is looking for a 450DA, they would NOT need to look any further than this one.

The world is changing, and this is as a profound historical change as anything else I have seen in the news lately. Years of legacy in the fiberglass, and even more in the MAN !

I can type no more.

Hear Hear....

Wow Frank - Someone is going to get an awesome boat. Best wishes on the next vessel

Frank,

Nice meeting you so many years ago at Shell Island.

Just curious if any of these potential buyers will be worthy and be able to pass your interview.......:)
