Hi All,

New Sea Ray owner here and within 2 months of ownership, the starboard switch panel went out and Sea Ray discontinued them. Any help with locating one of the following part numbers is greatly appreciated. I've searched ebay, facebook and have been calling larger Sea Ray dealers. Thank you in advance for your help! Ron

Little to no availability on those and I personally wouldn't waste my time or money as the modules that those switches control go bad also.
Your money would be better spent with these which will be much more reliable for years to come not to mention grant you less apprehension enabling you to enjoy your boat more.

Hope you are sitting down - https://www.fpmarine.com/EIM-Replacement-System-p/sr-panel-eim-290-350-eyebrow.htm

I need one as well. There has to be one out there somewhere! Salvage maybe?
I have been unsuccessful in finding a boat salvage yard. I spent 2 hours on the phone with sea ray and crossed referenced a part number that I hope works, I'll find out when it shows up this week

Part didn't work

What part number did you get and where did you get it?

I have a 2002 Sundancer 300 and it looks like I need to replace my starboard switch pad.

The FP Marine solution looks wonderful but $4,000 -- ouch!

There are other options, like digital switching and the like. But they all cost a lot to switch over, not to mention the wiring work needed to change. This is one such option: https://www.maretron.com/products/mpower.php
They do offer Contura style switches that can replace your current ones and re-use the same panel as you already have. Granted a bit of wiring work for sure. Just wanted to point out this option as well. Although the FP marine swap out is supper easy.

Thank you for the info, haven't heard of this company...I'll see what they have to offer.
Blink says they have a universal panel that should plug n play, waiting for a confirmation response.

If you search them on this forum alone, you will find a plethora of information on them and how many of us have used their devices.

I contacted Maretron and asked about a replacement for my starboard switch pad (2002 Sundancer 300).

Here's their reply:

Hi,
We do not have a direct replacement for this keypad.
Maretron / Carling products may have a system that would work, but the keypad or switch module would have to be
modified to the panel

Is there a Maretron solution tp my switch pad problem? I searched the site and found lots of references to Maretron but didn't see anything about my specific problem.

Right now it's looking like I don't really have a choice aside from the FP Marine $4000 solution.

The sea ray solution is a can bus plug n play system at about the same price. The FP system requires a complete rewire to my understanding

Like I mentioned, not a direct replacement but a re-wire solution. And yes if you want the easiest solution then FP Marine is your only choice. If you don't mind re-wiring (probably a winter project) then Maretron is a great solution.

Their switch panels would have to be fitted to your dash, possibly with new panels made up, based on your old ones. FP Marine can do that as well. I have had them make me panels and there usually only a few hundred to get done. At the end of the day you would save some money but have to put in a lot of re-wiring time.

Maretron switch panel manual: https://www.maretron.com/support/manuals/VMM6UM_1.2.pdf the Carling switches would allow for the button rockers to be replaced by custom ones that you can have made up. Very inexpensive to have that done, comparatively.

Hi,
I've mentioned this in the past and got no bites, so I'll try again. I have wanted to backwards engineer the EIM system. This would allow switchpads and EIMs to be fixed and even re-manufactured. This is a common enough problem that needs to be fixed. I am an electronics hardware and firmware design engineer and feel I'm likely best suited to attempt this.

However, I am in need of a switch pad and/or EIM to take apart and backwards engineer. Obviously no one will lend a working one, but one that is partially broken (ie. doesn't have all buttons working) would be perfect. Alternatively, if your switch pad or EIM is 100% dead, I could at least take a look at the hardware and perhaps find something simple like a broken solder joint, or burnt up power supply, etc. If I was not able to correct anything, I could at least see the board/components and get a good idea how the circuit works. If I was able to fix it, I would take the recordings of the data signals for each button and send the working device back.

If anyone has a non functioning or partially functioning switch pad or EIM, please contact me to work something out.

I have a smaller peanut pad EIM if you want it. its from my 2003 220 sundeck and was used on the sundecks/sundancers/weekenders. The horn and fuse tester button is broken, but other switches work.

I think the best approach would be to get all of the control wires to a connector(s), then use something like Maretrons digital switching (post 17). That would allow a more modern interface.

Mapping the inputs/outputs should be relatively easy. But this has been attempted before.
