Started generator for the first time this season let it warm up and then put load on it to make sure everything was ok for the start of the season. Generator ran good and excepted load with no issues. After 10 to 15 mins with load on generator it suddenly shut down. I checked all fluid levels and they were fine. When I tried to restart generator I got no power to the starter motor. I found the 10a input fuse was blown. Replaced fuse hit starter & input fuse immediately blew again. Can anyone shed any light on this input fuse & why it could be blowing every time I engage the starter motor and why it caused the gen to shut down?

These may be two different issues. Gen. may have shut down due to over heating or no water flow through exhaust. The starter motor may be getting hot or if the gen. was too hot the starter is drawing too much current to turn gen. over and thus blows the fuse. I would let gen cool down and try to restart. If it does restart then I would watch the coolant temps.
