found a 13" on ebay that fit nicely. I have a small dvd player in the next compartment. deciding now on what type of streaming device to go with. I couldn't get the HDTV antenna to pick up anything. has anybody had any luck with the amplified HD antennas you can find online? do they work through fiberglass or would I have to stick it out of the hatch? my boat had the original arch antenna removed , I don't know if the coax is still there. I suppose I could fish a digital coax through and mount another , but that may turn ugly for the amount of times its used.

Nice install.... I've tried the all those antennas and most work as advertised, however I wanted more options as far as channels go. So I experimented with Amazon Fire tv along with my wifi on phone. Basically using my cell phone as the gateway. Worked like a champ, I now can stream all the tv I want, Hulu, Netflix Amazon...etc...
I have the unlimited data plan with my phone carrier so that helps, but the marine also has free wifi.....just an option to consider

with the regular antenna , did you have to position it any particular way? which one worked the best. seems the one I got from wallyworld didn't get the tv to load any channels. I checked to make sure its had the built in digital and analog tuner. would just like the option to pick up the local news of late shows without logging into stuff.

I used this "version" of the antenna, mine didn't have the amplified thing. Paper thin, kept it outside, however had to keep repositioning it when boat moved out of slip.

Search on Amazon for:
tv antennas for digital tv 200 mile range

Just an FYI ...my original frisbee antenna picks up digital channels perfectly. I have the gain all the way up. Like you I just upgraded my main salon tv to hd and the picture is incredible. In the Detroit area I pick up 32 channels.. Maybe more cant remember but more than I use
