Looking for suggestions/tips/tricks for installing my new removable magma pedestal to my swim platform.
Thanks.

Mark the holes, drill them out oversize. Fill them with epoxy and let it dry. Then drill them out the correct size and through bolt the pedestal.

Thisis exactly what I did on my 06 260DA and all worked to perfection.

I've seen other posts (didn't realize there were a bunch of the same posts) where people drilled the larger hole and filled it with 5200. Would you suggest something else since 5200 is technically an adhesive or would it do the trick?

5200 is an adhesive. You need to use epoxy to do this correctly. You can get a small kit for repairs at west marine.

I drilled my platform last night for Davits and I totally meant to take a picture and forgot.

Here's a neat tip regarding bolts.

If you use stainless hardware, do NOT use an impact driver. I've been naively unaware of this problem for a LONG time but learned the hard way while installing a grill mount. You will seize nuts onto bolts and/or break the screws/bolts clean off with no resistance. New one on me. I was embarrassed.

Consider a grillamount. Nothing permanent on the swim platform to stub toes on. I didn’t want to have the mount on my swim platform.

Just a suggestion.
