Just me, stirrin' the pot a bit.....

OMG..."free healthcare" SOmeone has to pay for it!! Must be the 1%ers:p
I just came across this pic... There is no such thing as free health care... This is the tax rate last year in Ontario Canada... If you think health care is free in Canada you are so wrong. Plus at this tax rate your care is subpar at best so you buy supplemental health care to boost this...and then the wait to see someone if there is someone to see is ridiculous unless you're dying. I just went thru this with my mom and my sister in law in Canada going thru serious cancer where the "death squad" decides how far they will go...anything else youre on your own dime. The government sucks at running anything ..let alone health care....please don't let that happen here. Sorry for the PSA..I just get really pissed off at "Medicare for all" from these Dems

If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor....lmao

That is funny, i have the same insurance as then. I have the same doctors and the ACA made my insurance better.

They removed the lifetime maximum benefit of 250k, covered well visits (used to be excluded), and now cover pre-existing conditions....

Chris-380....So you're the guy everyone is talking about!?! Good on you! :D
I pay for it, price hasn’t changed in more than 5 years, but it’s 16k a year. There is about 1000 families in my plan. It’s not perfect, but before ACA, I saw increases 15-20% most years.

I was a trustee on a health insurance board from 1998-2014, so I may be more in tune with it than the average boater.

And they unabashedly screwed all who are self employed. So enjoy the riches of socialisim...

I know my CPA told me his insurance went from $12,000/year to $21,000/year after ACA was enacted. The job I had when ACA was enacted paid my premiums so I don't know how much they went up but I do know our deductibles went up quite a bit.

Fwiw...complaining about mainstream media...north of the border, along with our “free” health care, we have the CBC. The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.....paid for by our tax $ to the tune of 1.2 billion to promote Canadian “values”. Hardly unbiased journalism, they don’t bite the hand that feeds them. Never a bad word about immigration or diversity. In addition, our idiot pm announced another 675 mill for media, to ensure the “right” message is communicated. Blatant bias.
As for supplemental health care, it is illegal for doctors to open “private” clinics or to treat people willing to pay for services in Ontario.

That similar prohibition is in Medicare for all proposals in the US restricting what doctors can do out of the system.

I took the boat up to Thunder Bay, ON the summer after Trudeau was elected. During the day the marina was open for the public to walk around the shoreline. I had numerous folks stop to visit when the saw the boat was from the States. Each time I assumed they'd want to talk boats but was wrong every time...they wanted to talk politics, not a one had anything good to say about their new PM.

Having retired from a 40 plus year career in healthcare I can say that having an Affordable Care Insurance card is not the same as having access to health care.

Bla Bla Bla

I do believe the plan is for Mexico to pay for the wall, but not by the Military going down to get it from them. It can come from a renegotiation of trade agreements, already done to our favor, seizures of assets owned by drug cartels, a tax on remittances to Mexico, and the like. There are many ways Mexico can pay for the wall if Congress will get off its duff.

In contrast, millions lost their plans and doctors that was a literal promise to get support for passing ACA as well as an explicit promise to Bart Stupak and friends that no ACA money would pay for abortion. All explicit lies...
