Here is a very recent bathymetric survey of the north channel of the Kent Narrows from the Maryland DNR. This is part of the work being done to support a re-dredging project for next year. It's a little blurry, but bottom line, blue is good and red/yellow are bad. The actual channel cuts right through a lot of the red/yellow areas. The bottom line from this (which I can confirm from personal experience) is that you want to stay to the green side, or even beyond in some cases, coming through there at low tide.

Thanks Tim!! That is spot on! Has not changed much from last year. The two areas where it is green are the high pucker factor areas and when you get traffic coming both ways it gets exciting quick! Then when you have a grounded sailboat dead center as I had last year it gets really fun.

Just came through on Sunday and the water does get skinny toward the reds - especially on that long leg heading away from the narrows - was reading 2' under keel a couple of times. Had a 50' SB making the hard turn at the bottom coming at me (I'm in a 360 DA) and it was tight for the two of us.
