I'd say 5-6 hours as I'm 3-4 hours from Cape May and 2 hours the other direction to the Bay Bridge.

Yep, I just did an auto route with the Navionics app and 5h and 50min. @ 20 knt's. From just outside of Cape May to Narrows channel. Thats without the slow downs in the canal.

In the fall of 2018, It was pouring rain and blowing 4 footers after the day started beautiful but changed in a heart beat. No pictures.
You hope for good weather but can sit and wait it out just so long. Sooner or later, you have to pick a day your comfortable enough with. You really just have to ask mother nature how long a trip will take.
So we have run Delaware Bay end to end 3 times and really only have a dark, gloomy picture of the Ship John Shoal light to prove it.
They tell me it's nice there, though we've never really seen it.
