Kohler 10E Generator not starting

My kohler 10E gas generator will not start after sitting 3-4 days. If I give it a sniff of starting fluid fires right up. It will continue to start up if it’s ran every day.
I have replaced fuel pump and filter. No change. Runs like top and operates as should when it starts.
Any ideas or thoughts appreciated.

Look at the choke operation if it's carbed.

Kohler gas generators suck. There is a new thread almost every day with reported problems.

I never turn off the generator energize switch. Is it possible that the Parker electric fuel shut off is staying open and letting the fuel bleed off? Never paid attention to the energize switch before seeing a post here showing proper starting procedure.
Only been turning the generator power
Switch on then hitting the start button.
Energize switch already on.

Anyone know what this sensor on carburetor is? The one towards bottom.

That is not a sensor. It is a fuel shut off solenoid that closes when the gen shut down is activated. It prevents/eliminates dieseling.
