LED Lighted Swim Platform

    Has anyone added any lighting to their swim platform? (not underwater transom light). I bought 2x blue LED light strip fixutures with the intention of wiring them to the cockpit lighting harness from the transom locker and adding a switch somewhere to turn them off if needed. The swim platform can get pretty dark at night, and its an easy addition, so just wondered if anyone else has done the same, and pics

    For what it's worth blue is wicked fantastic at attracting bugs. It looks great but is ohh so awful for bugs.

    I've never seen this done myself (lighting the platform). It's certainly something you'd want to avoid running while underway, obviously.

    Yeah since its just for an as needed basis, i'd connect it to a switch mounted likely by the transom door. Can keep it off when not in use

    I added two LED lights to my transom on each side of the storage hatch (trunk). They connect to the cockpit lighting circuit. 1111-DINGHY SWIMSTEP-a.jpg
