Looking at a 1999 180 outboard

Are there any issues with this year and model boat? Is there wood in it as part of the construction? Is this a good reliable engine?

I just looked at your link. That is not a Sea Ray. I just recently learned of this 'copy boat' from another member here on CSR, Frank Webster. While I can't be completely sure, it's looks similar to what was discussed about this... that it may be a Rae Line boat built in New Zealand.

Again, I'm not positive on the exact manufacturer, but I am 100% positive that it's not a Sea Ray. While it shares some similarities in looks (not many, though), I would not want to comment on build quality and methods.

Hey dennis. I think you just saved me from a liar. I asked him for a HIN and report and got kind of blown off. I'll keep looking. But now, I think I want a genuine Sea Ray!
