or if anyone can tell me the thread size so I can try to repair the threads they are stripped

Did you ever determine the thread size? I am in the same boat! It appears to be British thread.

13/16 by 14 thread I machined the old thread out and fount a hydraulic fitting at work turned it down to a press fit and pressed it in the nut with green lock tight haven't had an issue all last summer since.
