Losing all gauges

Hi guys, were to start, took the 05, 280 with 4.3 alpha 1 gen 2 out again lost all gauges ons starboard side both analog and digital , get one beep and reeds lost eng com. Boat runs fine but no gauges should add it's not the first time ,stated midway through season when first happened I shook the eng harness and it wood reconnect . I know it sounds like a short but can't find anything out of place. Any suggestions would really be apreceated . Thanks Tony

if shaking the harness brought them back to life, look for male female connections on the harness, take them apart and check for corrosion and good contact
