Purchased a 2011 350 sundancer and have most of the problems sorted out.

However I noticed it has had a “misfire” code on for a while. I haven’t cruised it very much as I’ve been getting it detailed/underwater lights/ oil changed and other maintenance items done.

Took out other day and one engine had about a 500 RPM engine drop. Misfire warning still there.

Anyway I figured better go ahead and get as much changed/replaced as I could.

Marina last week did a tune up on both merc 8.2’s. Switched out all spark plugs. Previous owner had auto lite plugs which I was told wasn’t really what mercruiser wants in their engines.

Service put in high quality NGK plugs.

Fingers crossed she runs better after this :)

For now we aren’t replacing plug wires

The wires are always suspect with RPM drops if they have not been replaced in some time. What was the thinking on not doing the wires?

Wires can be ohm'd to see if they're any good. What distributor and cap are on that motor ? Def. do cap and rotor

No cap and rotor on these. Electronic ignition.

Post up an engine number, I'd like to take a look at that. So the 8.2 is configured like the 8.1 with a coil per cylinder?

Well this prob solved I guess :)

Now keep working on Jenny
