Lost Anchor

A friend that anchors regularly in the same place hooked the anchor he lost a few years earlier when he pulled his anchor up. Never know...

I see people all the time raise the anchor from the helm and away they go.... I don't get it ....to your point exactly ...so I always go up to the foot peddles on the bow when retrieving or deploying... I have dragged up a few things... unfortunately nothing good

My first season with my 310 I was kind of reluctant to try the wench just because they can be a nightmare to repair .The first time I used it it worked awesome and I was feeling pretty good about my boat purchase and everything working like it should. My wife wanted to move in a little closer to the beach so I jumped up on the bow to use my awesome wench and it worked great again until the rope turn to chain and broke donating the chain and anchor to the bottom. Well with new chain, rope and anchor I tend to keep an eye on the rope to chain transition now.
