i use a handlheld GPS on my boat when i am boating in unfamiliar waters (new lakes or ICW)...i have a Lowrance iFinder H2Oc....it works very well for my purposes and is all i need...it is small in size and i have it mounted with a 'ram mount' on the dash....the main features i need and use the most is the trail marker so that i can always get back to the boat ramp if i get turned around and the speedometer....while surfing the net the other day i found a post where someone had discovered a hidden feature of the H2Oc that is not mentioned in the user manual...when the 'map' screen is showing and you push the 'Exit' button (4) times in rapid succession a full screen speedometer will appear...it looks just like a regular speedometer in a car or boat....it is circular and goes from 0 - 80 mph....it even includes a oddometer to track the total distance traveled but i have not figured how to reset the oddometer yet...to get back to the map screen just push the Exit button twice...just thought i would pass this on to anyone else that may be using an H2Oc....
