Taking our new 2005 Sundancer 420 from Detroit area over to her new home in Grand Haven MI. Just crossed under the Mackinac Island Bridge. Water temp 45.3°. I am sure sometime this afternoon it will be warm enough for a swim

Yup, I'm another Mackinac Bridge lover. We drove over it in 1957 shortly after it opened. Mom, Dad, me and my sister in our 1956 Buick. Great Trip but a little scary being op so high.

I've been over it several times and under it once. Beautiful bridge.

There are few people who are afraid to drive it as you may know. For small fee there are professional drivers who will do it for folks who need help. Quite a few years ago there was a news account of a person who was driving a Yugo that was swept over the railing and into the water below. So maybe the fear of the few is not completely unfounded.

I am surprised the water temp is as high as 45. I am not sure how many days have reached that temp this spring. This has been a crazy spring, at least April and May. I have never seen it this cold for this long with no warm days at all yet. And so much rain.

Great pics and thanks for sharing! I've seen a couple Painkillers around the Grand Haven area. You're going to fit right in! :)
