Matching Gel Coat color for a new build

We are building a boat and have chosen a striking Awlcraft color! We need to match the color in Gelcoat. So far the builder is not close to a match. The builder does not want to paint the hull.
We have provided a named color and the color code for it. Should this be a strait forward issue to solve, like matching paint at the hardware store?
The color is holding up the build. Suggestions appreciated. Thank you

Not in the least. Talk to sherfab in CA. Best prices You can get a gallon from them at the price of 1qt from spectrum. You can also send them a sample and they will match it

Thank you for your service Riptide! Your suggestion is just what I needed as I did not who the players are in the Gelcoat industry. For very little I can have a custom color. This should get the build moving forward tomorrow.
