hello gents !

today we start our holidays with our 240 sundancer and this year we travel on the water thru inland channels to the baltic sea living on the small boat . ( girlfriend , me and our dog )

we have of course the entire midcabin loaded with food , clothing and beer . the fuel and the watertank are filled up to maximum of course and i start to think about maximum load capacity .

now my question : the maximum load capacity on the plate near the helm ( 8 persons or 1200lbs in my case ) : does it refer do dry weight of the boat ( so i have to count in the wejght of zhe fuel and water ) or is it regarded as additional weight that can be loaded when the boat already sits with 100 % fuel in the water ?

best regards

I think most boats will have additional verbiage suggesting that capacity plate is for "persons and gear". It surely should be the wet weight of the boat, all-in. Your full fuel tanks would always put you overweight if they were not already included as I'm assuming you're carrying 150 gallons +/-?

I hope you'll share photos of your trip! Sounds like a fantastic time.

yes she floats ! honestly she took the load with ease and performs very well ! the inland channels are speed restricted so we took our first day trip crusing for 6 hours at trolling speeds . i played with her to find maximum efficiency looking at fuel flow at vs speed. ich will send pics !
