MD Weekend @#$#@#!!

The Hyatt get rid of the resort fee this year. They are charging $150 per night per slip, regardless of size. No resort fee. Rumor has it the charge by the foot will return next year, But I don’t know what that means for the resort fee. For now, it’s a flat 150.
That seems high...for me thats $3.33/ft

So I just called them to confirm this since I just booked three nights and the dockage was $567 sales tax 34.02 and the total was 601.02. So it seems the $150 a night is for every other weekend except the holiday weekends, which are $189 a night for everyone no matter what your boat size is. Figures that would be the case, although I think I paid close to that for HHS. But at least there is no resort fee.

We just booked the Hyatt for a couple nights in August. Great place with or without kids that we hit every year. Here's a tip: it's much faster to dinghy across to the resort then walking or waiting for a golf cart shuttle.

Have you tried Herrington North? It's not as resort like as South but just as well kept and also a little quieter with a nice pool and restaurant on site. We also like Shipwright Harbor which is now owned by the Herrington Marinas. It's getting better every time we visit and just across the creek from Herrington North. Couple of restaurant options by dinghy up and down the creek.

Cool, very nice to know. I also like the dinghy idea instead ok that walk.

We were just charged $318 for two nights in August. $150 plus tax per night. They always had the Sunshine on the Bay package that was buy 2 get the 3rd night free. Last year we paid $273 for 3 nights.

That's about right, non holiday weekends are $150/night.

Man what a perfect weekend going to Cambridge Hyatt River Marsh Marina. Went with our house neighbors who just got a new to them boat this year and is in our marina. Very fun ride going there, very relaxing ride. @quality time you were not kidding about needing the dinghy, man that is a long walk. But having that long pier out to the pavilion is great to tie up too. Had a fun time dinghying over to Snappers in town. What a fun place to visit. Definitely a multiple trip per year place.

Snappers is a fun place! And good food, too!

We are blessed to be able to boat on this thing called the Chesapeake Bay! There are so many nice trips - and cruising the Choptank is one of them. Not terribly fun in a blinding rain storm, mind you, but otherwise a beautiful ride! Another favorite for us is the Chester River - all the way to Chestertown. And also the Eastern Bay. When I go to St Michaels I find myself skipping the Narrows in both directions, just to cruise the Eastern Bay. But yeah, the Choptank is great. I've never gone past River Marsh, but I hear there are some quiet, relaxing marinas further past RM, if your looking for a more "life in the slow lane" experience.

Hey Skybolt we were your slip neighbors. Great to meet you and hope your ride back was pleasant. The beef tips were awesome and wanted to thank you for them. See you around Safe Harbor. Stop by G dock for a cold one.

Could not agree with you more. We live just off of the Eastern Bay (Prospect Bay) and use our CC to go to Foxy's for lunch at times. But yeah, Snappers was great fun and food!
