Memorial Day weekend 2013 Destination

Kentucky.....Black Mountain.........offroad rock crawling! haha I know, weird. I usually pick the boat over atv and riding in the mountains.

Oh well, my crawlin bunch committed first.

I'll see you and Jay on the water sometime this summer though Kes. Maybe a Lake Norman or Lake Keowee or a Charleston or a Moorehead/Beaufort trip. lol
 
LKN this weekend. Looks like like the weather is going to be beautiful for a change.

Gonna try Charleston to Hilton Head via ICW. Leaving Friday morning early....stop in Beaufort on the way. Worried about the shallow cuts along the way though...buddies boat drafts 4'.

You are home free once you get past the Ashepoo Pass onto the Coosaw River. I'll be headed the other way up to Edisto Beach via the ICW in my 175.

We are trying to time it to hit Ashepoo at mid falling tide so as to have a couple more feet under us. We will keep an eye out for you guys!

Right as you get to the first bridge at Beaufort look portside down Factory Creek. You'll see this. Guy stuck a bridge onto a sailboat hull then wrapped it in plywood and painted it.

We'll be on Lake Keowee all weekend from Friday noon until Monday noon. First weekend back on the water since 2009. Yippee!

Will definately have to make at least one of the above happen, Mike. Maybe we can get Judi to make some more grilled okra!

Kendall, Hope you have a good pass and great trip. Maybe one day we will not be going in opposite directions!
 
We decided finally to stay close and boat on Lake Murray this weekend since we will have to be moving over the next month following. The local power squadron will have their first raft up that we will participate in and we will take the pups since it will be a short commute to the water. Hope everyone has a safe, uneventful holiday trip on the water!

Grilled okra! Who would have thought they would taste so good. I've actually done this myself recently and it turned out good. Not as good as Judi's but good.

Pass through by 11am and you will have plenty of water.
