I have a 1981 Sea Ray 260 Sundancer with a 330/454, Mercrtrans II transmission and a IITR outdrive. A broken starter bolt necessitated removing the engine/trans. Addressing another issue with the engine out I ran the engine for 15 min with water to the raw water pump however the transmission was still attached. I connected the in and out trans cooler lines together. It mostly was at an idle but I did blip the throttle a few times. Now the engine is back in the boat and leaks ATF like heck.
Would I have damaged seals or other parts doing this?
