Mercuiser 377 MAG I/O
Hi,

I have a new to me Sea Ray SunDancer 300 with Mercury 350 mags. This boat is new to me. We picked it up on Monday from Port Charlotte FL and ran it across the state through the Okeechobee way. The boat ran GREAT until:
  • On day 2 of the trip I ran aground in the St. Lucie River. Boat US pulled us out.
  • I followed the Boat US tow (slowly) to a marina where we filled up and had lunch (Sunset Marina)
  • After we left we cruised slowly for a while until we reached a wider/deeper part of the river.
  • When I went to throttle up my port engine died and the fuel gauge (mercury smart view) showed 0 fuel in port engine. Starboard is fine
  • The engine sounds like it’s trying to start but is fuel starved.
  • When we limped on one engine to a marina we found that the port tank was indeed FULL. Yet the tank reads empty
  • A mobile mechanic came out today and is stumped. There is no power at the motor, yet there is at the key. We did not take apart the push button start yet to check for power.
  • all the engine data on the port is gone. Vessel view shows 387 hours on starboard an 0 on port
  • Sea strainer is pristine clean

Any advice on potential issues?

Thanks
