I am going up Monday to the boat for a few days to get started... last season I left it too late and felt rushed

I seriously had this thought today for the first time. "holy smokes, I gotta get started". :)

I'll start my regular winter trips to the boat pretty soon now. My refill of cleaner wax arrives next week...

Already well on my way on my list....
Cockpit speakers replaced.
HDTV antenna -waiting for arrival from Amazon
Hull cleaned
Hull waxed
Hull spray detailed
Freezer control box replaced

A few remaining items....
2 more spray details on the hull
touch up bottom paint
dinghy davits? (TBD)

Spring can NOT come soon enough.
Happy New Year to everyone!

Dang...not even 2021 yet and you're that far???!!

What davits you going with? I've got an H30 sitting in my garage if you'd like to see what that beast looks like. I think your rig is too big for snap davits? I'm selling my Weaver setup...at the worst possible time to be selling boat parts :)

I'm torn - H20 or H30.
I've seen people use the H30, and while the concept is great, I've never seen one used easily. In fact, my neighbor in Pentwater flipped his RIB and broke the base of the H30 while putting the boat in the water. Dinghy ended up upside down in the water. Submerged the outboard. We had a time flipping everything back over.
I know the H20 will require two people - I believe it will anyway.
Still torn. Plenty of coverage on this topic in the Dingy forum.
I may stop by and take a look...

I would have preferred the H20 myself from both a cost and simplicity standpoint. I've seen (here I think?) people install a 12V winch in the transom locker to make it a one man operation. A cheap way to take the pain out of the H20 launch/retrieve process.

I'm hoping my relatively low swim platform will take the steep angles out of the H30 launch/retrieve process. We shall see...we shall see...

I put an H30 on my 360 and have never regretted it. I used the extension arms to give myself some room to still walk through my swim platform. I love it because I can load my 10’ Highfield with console and a 20hp by myself. I’ve never even had a close call.
