Mid-90's 270 Sundancer Thread

Thank you so much sir. I will work on this starting next week! I really appreciate you taking time out to do this. What is the length of the short leg?

Not at all. I know it isn't exactly what you were looking for, but at least it's something. Sorry it took so long.
The leg is 10.75 inches long with an OD of 2.5 inches tapering to 2.25 inches at each end.

No its great thank you. Obviously the seat I make will be out of wood and not fiberglass. I already have the table, and the longer leg for using it as a table, but not the shorter leg nor the cushions. Does the table somehow hook up to the aft seat or does it just sit on the leg?

Opps never mind....looking closer at your pics I see the lip on the aft seat where the table would rest! Doh!! LOL thanks again. No clue how I'm gonna make this outa wood.

Went to replace the bulb in my port navigation light today and the green plastic lens basically fell apart. I have been unable to locate a direct replacement for these lights. Has anybody identified a source?

Ouch....They do seem kinda small and cheap. I assume you already tried FP marine?

Thanks, I tried both with no joy. I did find some on eBay that look like a possible direct fit: http://www.ebay.com/itm/271904240020?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

However, using eBay I was able to get an Atwood part number and ordered a red and a green.
For future reference the green is: ATT-66319G7 Atwood Side Light Horizontal Stainless Steel Green; and the red is ATT-66319R7.

Great thanks I'll make a note of the numbers. Attwood didnt have them?

Looks very nice! Love the new steering wheel. When I changed my panel, I decided to also change the gauges as they looked worse against the new panel.

just got my new cockpit carpet in. I decided to go with woven vinyl.

Actually, yes they do have them on their website, though they were less than obvious to find. Attwood doesn't sell them directly - they have links to some vendors, so I shopped around until I found the best price I could and ordered one of each.

Barry, that carpet looks really good! I'm assuming it comes with the binding pre-installed. Is there a provision for the swim deck, that area in front of the cabin door, and separate panels over the engine compartment?
I'm researching new carpet for my boat for spring. What are your thoughts concerning what you got?

Love it Barry carpet looks fantastic!! Can you post a link on where you got it? And yea i thought about replacing the gauges and will do so when the time is right....meaning..after Ive paid off what I've done so far lol.

Thanks! The binding did come pre installed. I only had to install the snaps(they were sent with carpet). I used the template that the company had for a 270 DA. There was no option for the swim deck, engine compartments or the area in front of the cabin door. I do plan on taking measurements and mailing a template for that area in front of the cabin to have a piece made.
if you take measurements of what you want, I'm sure you can get your carpet made custom.
I must say, The teak style really makes a difference in looks compared to the Berber that was on it. It just always looked dirty. This gives my boat a more modern look and feel.
Hope this helps.

I found this guy on eBay while I was looking for a new sea ray logo for my new circuit breaker panel. The name of the company is Boat carpet sales. If you search luxury woven vinyl, they have it listed for a 270. The guy Chris was really helpful. He sent me a template to place in the cockpit to make sure it was a correct fit. I placed my order in the morning and they shipped it out the next day. I received it in about 3 days with free shipping from UPS.
