Hello. I am a new Amberjack 290 owner (2001). The boat is in very nice condition with low hours. However, the back seat is missing. The attachments are there and the back rest cushion, but the actual fiberglass seat base and cushion is not with the boat. Would it be worth the effort and expense to have the seat custom fabricated? I've read on some other threads that the fiberglass seat was kind of a pain to move around and stow. Obviously, the seat is no longer available from SeaRay. I need some extra seating for my kids etc. Would I be better off just buying some nice deck chairs or another alternative? Any advice, suggestions, ideas would be greatly appreciated. Attached is a pic of what it looks like. Thanks! Jerry

HI I AM HAVING THIS SAME PROBLEM WHAT WAS YOUR SOLUTIONS CAN YPOU GUIDE ME IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION

Have a 2004 AJ, love it because of the ample room in back, no fishing package which gives more room! Took back seat out the first summer, never put it back! We have a couple heavier lawn chairs with high adjustable backs, very comfortable! If you don't want the sun in your face, turn the chair! The AJ has low, wide sides which allow me to sit on the chair, place my legs up on the sides, adjust the chair back, kick back and relax! Get tired of that view, move over to the other side! That's why I chose the AJ, no fixed seating and no arch to obstruct the view! The large container to rear (meant to hold fish I guess??) is an excellent self draining cooler, dump ice and adult beverages in, hit the water, at the end of the day just hall away the empties! Haven't hauled around a cooler since getting this boat! That's my two cents........

10-7 THAT SOUNDS GREAT SO DO YOU STILL HAVE THE ORIGINAL SEAT AND IF SO WILL YOU BE WILL TO SELL IT

When I had my 260DA and needed storage for trips I folded up the rear seat and put coolers back there. Sat on the coolers.
