Currently my boat is at the Lake Of Ozarks and I am looking to have it moved to the Missouri River or Mississippi River to begin my journey on the Great Loop. Does anyone know a reputable boat moving business that could assist me in getting it to the river? Any advice is appreciated....

I think it’s a relatively short haul to the Missouri River. You might ask your marina if there is someone local who can do it. I have found it to be quite expensive for an out of state national hauler to do a short trip. I had these guys setup to take one across Wisconsin before a deal fell through. https://www.crosscountryboat.com/ They got good reviews from all the locals it talked too.

You need Ernie Dampier. Marine Service Company.

Give Chad Crouch at Marine Max a call 573-434-9558. He'll have lots of experience and advice for you

Thank you for this information.

I just had my 52 moved from the Ozarks to Port Charles Marina on the Mississippi. Ernie Dampier from Marine Services did the move. He hired a new staff for his tear down and rebuild of the boat for trucking. I have a bridge that had to come off to get the height down. Ernie moved the the boat from Florida a few years back and I would NEVER use anyone else after all of the horror stories I have heard about other companies. Paul Jr at Port Charles is also a great company to work with. I’m heading up to Lake Michigan hopefully this year and I had a few items handled by Paul and I couldn’t be more please. They are very looper friendly there also. Pm me if you have any questions. 6A662269-DA53-4533-BBE4-C70C67888E98.jpeg2A796867-936F-425A-BA56-1FABC952CFF4.jpeg1CC56D89-D7E0-4982-88B4-C8F218588588.jpeg

I used Ernie to move my boat from LOTO to Washington state, I can't say enough good about him. Very professional, and took good care of my boat. He works with Marine Max at the lake quite a bit.

He does work out of marinemax but is an independent company. He will haul out from any marina that can do the job at the lake. I know Formula was another option for me also. Remember this one tip from a guy who has done this a time or two, have the same person that tears it down put it back together!!!!!!! Very key.

I didn't mean to imply that he only works with them. Sorry if it was taken that way.

I had one person tear it down, one to haul it, and another put it back together. I was nervous as hell. The guy that tore it down had been the Service Manager at MM in Pensacola. Every wire was unplugged/unscrewed and labeled. It was unloaded here at Lake Lanier on a Wednesday morning and was running up the lake to her slip on Friday afternoon. The only wire that was cut was the manual fire extinguisher switch for the bilge mounted at the helm. One wire was out of place. I had no lights on my gauges. Got out the electrical schematic and a wire on the back of the port 4/1 gauge was in the wrong hole.

As long as wires are not cut, very doable for the right people.

Dock mate just had a Cruisers Yacht 400 delivered where every wire to the arch was cut...not the first time either as all cut wires already had splices in them.

Again, depends on who does it in my mind....

Also, on a boat where just the arch is removed, is surely not a big deal. When the arch and entire helm are removed.....little more to it.

Located at LOTO

Phil Randazzo was by far the best price

Bought my trailer from them, when they used to sell trailers.

Hey.... I've been watching Ozarks in Netflix in confinement and it looks like a beautiful area! Are you going to have a blog dedicated to your Great Loop journey? I'd like to follow your experience, thanks
